Posted January 10, 2021. u1900 is just a CAN bus communication fault. It is a very generic code and is pretty useless by itself. I think you need to scan with Forscan which should hopefully give you more specific codes. Posted November 29, 2019. Modern DI diesels don't need plugs to start until well below 0c, they're mainly used for emissions reduction and a smother idle now. It's the old IDI's that needed plugs to start even in fairly mild temps. The light also has no relation to the plugs, they stay on long after the light has gone out.
