Ford Model: Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Titanium X Ford Year: Focus Mk4 Turbo/Actuator issues. unbiased Ford car forum / club for owners of Ford vehicles.
No chance, as the thread that @F0CUE linked to mentions, the 1.8 TDCi is a totally different engine to the 2.0 TDCi. Also, the limitation on the 1.8 isn't the turbo, it's the inlet manifold. It's a 1980s design and is just too restrictive by modern standards. Quote.
Ford Focus and Mondeo 1.8 2.0 TDCi 2000 - 2003Problem: Engine hard to start, lack of power, rough idling etc. Solution: A common problem has been identified with the above models and an insufficient signal from the camshaft postion sensor (CPS). The fault code P0340 may have been triggered which relates to the CPS.
Join me in my fist video as I replace a turbo on a 2005 ford Mondeo 2.0 dieselIncludes cleaning out the cat and examineing the old turbo. If ive helped you
Three hours later I was finally able to get the car to start and run, but shortly after start up I got an engine code P0236 Turbocharger boost pressure sensor, I was thinking this is the sensor on the intercooler (correct me if I am wrong, please) the sensor is getting around 5v, on all three wires (green/violet, yellow/green, yellow brown).
The 2.0 TDCi diesel is a favourite powerplant of Ford and does its job well when fitted to the Kuga. Mated to a six speed manual gearbox, the engine pulls confidently, and a little noisily, when accelerating thanks to a decent amount of torque available at low revs. It's a competent and capable cruiser on the motorway but drivers may have to
I have a lower power than I would expect in my Mondeo 2.0 TDCI 140PS (mk4.5) so I connected up an ODB2 reader and Torque Software and compared with my wife's Cmax 2.0 TDCI 136PS which feels much more responsive: Mondeo - Turbo boost PSI: 13.0 max (usually up to 10PSI during acceleration) - 2.0L Duratorq CR TC (140PS) - DW10C.

I think I might have heard some people say that on some focus cars the PCM is near the battery but I don't know which years and I don't know if which engine it has also affects where the PCM is.

Hi, My 2008 2.0 tdci makes a sort of siren like noise from the turbo, sounds a bit like an owl or a distant police siren, it's a lot more noticable when cold and is a different noise from the usual turbo whistle you get when they spool up. Performance is fine so's fuel consumption and it's not using
